DTSI performed on several projects for the Department of Interior (Bureaus of Reclamation and Land Management, Office of Surface Mining and Bureau of Mines) that required a diverse mix of accounting skills, including in-depth knowledge of governmental accounting systems, knowledge of governmental accounting operations, knowledge of finance and accounting regulations including DOI regulations, and knowledge of the automated accounting and payroll system. The services called for ability to work on CYBER, VAX, and IBM mainframe computer systems. Some of the major tasks performed included: 1) configuration management; 2) software and hardware analysis; 3) test and evaluation; 4) network design, maintenance and administration; 5) training and documentation; 6) help desk support; 7) conversion of a Perkin Elmer based computer system to an IBM system; 8) conversion of the entire Department of Interior payroll and personnel system residing on a CDC CYBER mainframe to an IBM 3081 mainframe; and 9) development and testing of prototype systems.
