DTSI contracted with the
El Paso Independent School District (EPISD), El Paso, TX for district wide LAN/WAN maintenance and support of the Network Physical Infrastructure, Servers,
Disaster Recovery Systems and Workstations.
Maintenance and support services were required and professionally delivered for the Student Administration Systems LAN/WAN enterprise, which is the mission critical backbone of the K-12 campus administrative operation. This enterprise facilitates district reporting by all campus administrators and clerical staff assigned administrative responsibilities for the maintenance of student demographic records, attendance, scheduling, grade reporting, transcripts, Public Education Information Management Systems (PEIMS) and AS400 connectivity. Physically the enterprise consist of 85 different locations throughout the city of El Paso with 91 Novell servers, an extensive Physical Layer Infrastructure, approximately 900 workstations and associated peripherals supporting approximately 1,200 district wide employees reporting demographics for 63,000 students. DTSI successfully responded to EPISD within a required four-hour response criterion maintaining available technical staff and a centrally located repair inventory to meet maintenance support requests. DTSI managed a constant stream of service requests through an automated dispatch system ensuring a timely response to all requests, maintaining strict compliance with contract agreements and manufacturer's warranties. Technical staff assigned to this contract were fully qualified, certified, experienced and accustomed to providing a timely diagnosis and resolution to difficult and complex problem situations.
