DTSI has had success working with
organizations outside the federal
government sphere.
In a local project, DTSI contracted with
the El Paso Independent School District
(EPISD), El Paso, TX for district wide
LAN/WAN maintenance and support of the
Network Physical Infrastructure,
Servers, Disaster Recovery Systems and
Workstations.
DTSI supported the Student
Administration Systems LAN/WAN
enterprise, which is the backbone of the
K-12 campus administrative operation.
This enterprise facilitates reporting by
all campus administrators and clerical
staff in the district who are assigned
administrative responsibilities for the
maintenance of student demographic
records, attendance, scheduling, grade
reporting, transcripts, and Public
Education Information Management Systems
(PEIMS) The system encompasses 85
different locations throughout the city
of El Paso. There are 91 Novell servers,
an extensive Physical Layer
Infrastructure, approximately 900
workstations and associated peripherals
supporting approximately 1,200 employees
who report demographics for 63,000
students.
DTSI successfully performed within a
required four-hour response time, with
on-call technical staff and a centrally
located repair inventory to meet
maintenance requests. DTSI managed a
constant stream of service requests
through an automated dispatch system
which ensured a timely response to all
requests. This maintained strict
compliance with contract agreements and
manufacturer's warranties.
